TOPIC: IF GOD BE FOR YOU, NONE CAN BE AGAINST YOU

Meditation:
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”  (Romans 8:31-32)

Today’s Text: Romans 8:31-32

As Joshua and the children of Israel fought the confederacy that came against Gibeon, the covenant partners of Israel, the Lord discomfited the enemies by casting down great hailstones from heaven and more died from the onslaught of stones than through the sword of Israel. Joshua commanded the sun and the moon to stand still until the people of God were victorious. Many more instances abound in the bible where God fought on behalf of His children.

Today, as children of God, we have better promises because Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, is in us. Rather than consciousness of sin, weaknesses, failure, sicknesses and afflictions, we can begin to be transformed in our mindset to become conscious of the presence of God. Whatever Jesus accomplished was because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in Him. That same spirit was what He promised believers and gave them at Pentecost when He ascended into heaven. Today we are temples of the Holy Ghost, His dwelling places, on account of His indwelling presence.

Who can be against you? Though they may gather against you, they will fall for your sake. This is because Christ in you is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The Holy Ghost that is inside has a transforming presence. He transforms not only in power but also in character. We shall receive power not only to heal the sick and raise the dead but to live a godly life. We have been empowered to live above sin and to resist the devil and make him flee. The man on the street who has not received this baptism cannot resist the devil. The believer has a right to deal with every situation that is contrary.

Brethren, it does not matter how low you may have fallen, God is living inside of you. Romans: 8:11 says “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Prayers:
1. Appreciate the abiding presence of God in prayer.

2. Pray that no matter what, you will always have the assurance of victory on account of the power of the indwelling spirit.

Confession:
Lord, in you I live, move and have my being.
