TOPIC: SEX

Text: I Corinthians 6 vs 18-20.

INTRODUCTION

Sex has been one of the greatest biological gifts of God, given to man that has been abused, misuse and through which man has become offensive to God.

According to Advanced Learner’s dictionary, 9th edition, “Sex is the physical activity between  two people in which they touch each other sequel organs which may result to SEXUAL INTERCOURSE.

Sexual feelings are exciting and because they are, it is easy to get carried away. Sexual activities can start from holding of hands, hugging, fondling and kissing which can lead to Sexual Intercourse. Sexual activities can also be things you do by yourself like masturbating or pleasuring yourself sexually.

NOTE: When the importance of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.

MISCONCEPTION ABOUT SEX 》》
God can never create good thing and ask man to use it in an abnormal way.

SEX IS BAD: Some have termed sex as a “ No Go Area” because of their high level of holiness, religious belief and church doctrines.

SEX IS OF THE DEVIL: Some give devil credit for sex. This is also because of the abuse of sex, however, it should be noted that sex did not originate from the devil.

SEX IS LOVE: Some young people have concluded that sex is the only way one can show or prove love to each other. This is a lie from a pit of hell, that is why many exchange the word “SEX” with “LOVE”. You hear people say “we made love”. Sex is not love and love is not sex.

FACTS ABOUT SEX.》》

SEX IS GOOD: (Genesis 1:31) God made sex for the purpose of procreation and communion in marriage.

SEX IS NOT OF THE DEVIL, SEX IS OF GOD: (Genesis 2:21-25) God created sex, God is the originator of sex, but it is for those who are married alone. (Hebrews 13:4).

SEX IS NOT LOVE: If sex is love, then the world should be a better place. Do you know how many people have slept together? The truth is that you can have sex with someone you don't love and you will end up hating the person the more, if it is done outside God's will (I Corinthians 13:8-13).

EFFECTS OF PRE-MARITAL SEX

• Departure Of God's Presence (Judges 16:20).

• Spiritual Pitfalls (Romans 12:1).

• Lost Of Glory (Genesis 49:3, II Samuel 13:28).

• Integrity Damages (Judges 16:20)

• Academic Setback

• Dignity Destruction

• Exchange Of Curses & Problems.

CONCLUSION
▶▶ Sex is a covenant that brings about sharing each other's problems, curses etc and it is more than pleasure. It is a covenant transacted by the spilling of blood and mixture of sacred liquids.
